WOYWW #166

this week may desk was covered in stuff for my chunky book swap Wine Women & Song, for the yahoo group Sketchbook Projects.  There were 9 people in the swap.  it seemed to take me days of trying different thing before the final idea came.  my stash of wine stickers and ephemera were empty,. so it was on to digital and scissors.  This followed  several days of finishing up the Hot August Nights tag Swap for All Things Tim.

both were a lot of fun and my head becomes completely engrossed in  a project, so tired at the end of the day.  As much as I aim for simplicity there is always lots of fuzzy in my productions.  In my other life I must have been the dresser for a grand diva.

This, between watching the Olympics; although the interest in the Olympics has waned due to the TV coverage.  there is only so much Beach volley ball, basket ball, water polo and the like i can consume.  we really love cycling but this was a limited production.  I hope Colorado and the other cycling states protest.  The swimming was enjoyable as it is brief events. we are so thrilled to see GB come up tops in events we were unable to watch.  It sure looks as if everyone in GB is having one hell uv a party!

The effects of the wine is beginning to hit so i better close down before i do the online equivalent of dancing on the table.

Watch out this week for notes from Tripper he has requested i post to all the pussies reading this site!

  1. I was working on my Wine, Women and Song chunkies this week, too. It took me a while to come up with an idea I liked. I could have handled wine, or women, or song -- but tough getting them all into one little 4x4! I've started only watching the Olympic summary at night. Not ideal, but daytime coverage is just too much for me.

  2. Awesome tags! Love the fun summery colors. Happy WOYWW! Tammy #67

  3. that's !quite a table full of art Monica! I have to agree with you about the Olympics--I'm really getting tired of it and don't much like that it not only occupies NBC, but also MSNBC and CNBC

  4. Now I'd actually like to see you dancing on the table!!

Lovely to see what you're getting up to - you're busy again!

You're right, we are having one hell of a party here in the UK - the Olympics have been an absolute blast and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Thankfully, we have a gazillion BBC TV channels showing EVERY event so we really are spoilt for choice. The fantastic thing has been celebrating the achievements of the people who have worked so hard for such a long time - these should be the role models for today's kids, not the empty head celebrities that just wannabe famous for getting their boobs out for a camera or sleeping with a footballer.

Tripper sounds like he's a bit of a ladies man!

  5. Wonderful crafting. Thanks for sharing your workspace. Hope you have a good week. Hazel WOYWW #99 x

  6. what an array of beauty on your desk!!

  7. Lots of goodies on your table! :)
I have enjoyed the Olympics but wish the coverage had been better.
A little lacking for me :)

  8. Fabulous Tags Monica... Well here in Britain we all have the Olympic bug... We are so Proud of all who have taken part I dont want it to end... Now you be careful on that table dont fall off.. Have a happy week, Hugs May x x x#40

  9. Loving your fab tags... a great burst of colour, creativity and fun!
I never thought I'd ever enjoy the Olympics so much but this has been the best yet. The whole country is buzzing and the results have been great for UK.
If you pop in on my blog there's a bit of fun and some blog candy to join in with,
    JoZarty x

  10. Great tags! Now, why not dance on the table? I'm not a wine drinker so I can catch you when you fall.... tee hee

Yesterday was my blog anniversary - candy will be announced soon. As part of the candy I'm offering up something made by me -- so come visit and cast your vote (if you've already been - thank you. I'm trying to visit everyone this week so haven't checked in on my comments lately).

    Happy WOYWW

  11. Monica, your desk is always a FEAST of glorious colour! Just fabulous. I must start using some different colours with my Dylusions inks - I've done a fair bit with the pinks and purples, but oranges and reds are calling!!

Beatrice says "Hi" to Tripper. She is the Computer Queen - there are some posts on my blog about how clever she is. She's still thinking about running online courses in computers for kitties. She can do things I can't!

Thanks for visiting my blog - the clearing out is continuing, but the actual downsizing probably won't happen for a couple of years, but my health being what it is, I need to get on with it in good time or I just won't manage it at all!!!

Been glued to the Olympics in between my clearing out - you're right, the UK has been having a party! This has been so good for national morale - long may it last! I shall feel quite bereft after tomorrow night, but at least we've got the wonderful Paralympics to look forward to. I hope it gets as much support as the Olympics - it certainly deserves to.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  12. PS Thanks sooo much for getting rid of the word verification! Since Blogger changed it, it's become a major pain - really hard to read, and an extra step none of us need, with comment moderation. Much appreciated!!

  13. Loving your projects for the swap you're doing! The colors are rich and gorgeous!!!

I know what you mean about the Olympics...I love them but two weeks is usually plenty. I'm ready for my soap opera to start again! Haha!!

  14. Wonderful tags! I have been watching way too much Olympics. Water polo does not worry because my DD is a National player, so we actually complained because there was too little of it LOL
    Happy very belated WOYWW
