WOYWW 171 a elated

Yesterday, Monday, I received a belated birthday present, an iPad 3. So today, Tuesday, was spent trying to control it.  As I am NOT the owner of an iPhone or smartphone I have no experience with touch screen or how to operate it.  Late yesterday I started this post on Big red (iPad).  Cannot work camera or know how to post so back to Smithy, my laptop.  Yesterday, after many hours on iPad3 and Smithy, trying to "get it", picked up where I left off on making a travel journal.  So work top looks like a war zone.

and here is my new toy iPad3.  By next week hope to know a little more on how to use it.  I have been able to set up Google.  yes they do sort of set it up for you in the Apple Shop though you really need to have passwords with you and that was really set up in the belief that people buying it would really have iPhone, a Mac or iPad.

I have reset passwords so many times before realizing that verification came on Smithy and finally calmed down.  For all you older folks on the trailing edge of technology.  We golden oldies can learn to use it and touch screen is super easy.

Now on out for my 2 mile walk while it is cool then back to learning.  if you have never visited before stop by an check  Julia, and find out how to check out what everyone does all week across the world.

  2. I praise you for your efforts at embracing technology, this is a product that is so easy to use and wonderful at the same time. I find the camera in them to be pathetic and not very high in quality. Apart from the ipad, looks like you are planning another trip LOL I know emphemera is good. LOL

  3. Ooooh, have fun with your new ipad!
I have to admit that new technology always scares me a bit. It can be so intimidating! It took me forever to get a smartphone :)

Your travel journal looks like it is going to be fabulous!

  5. Well done to you for mastering the beast known as Big Red! It's all a mystery to me, I only get by with the assistance of my two live-in IT consultants (I pay them with food and ironed clothing!!).

  7. LOL. I am only in my 30s, but just got my first i-anything for my birthday (ipod touch). It took over an hour of trying to figure out why it would not load my discs when connected to my computer before my neighbor told me that I needed to download itunes (but I dont want to buy music, I have music...ok, it doesnt matter...ok) LOL. Be brave and power through! i-anythings need better owners manuals ;) Good Luck! Have a happy WOYWW- Amanda #97 (oh, and happy belated birthday)

  9. That is when it's handy to have teenagers in the house, they're a huge help with the computer-y things! I'm impressed that you're "getting" it on your own, I really don't know if I could!

    Happy WOYWW!

  11. Hi Monica,

I don't have an ipad - probably won't get one. I looked at them in the store and the touch screen keyboard really was hard for me. I'm old school and have my fingertips resting on the keyboard.. woo hoo - you should have seen all the letters!!!

I see you are from Kerrville. I hear it's beautiful mountain country.

Thanks for stopping by my place already!

    Happy WOYWW

  12. Congratulations on your new baby, Monica! We are a fully Mack-ed out family and have been for 10 years. My husband knows a lot about Macs (more than the "geniuses") so don't hesitate to email me directly if you have any questions he can answer.

  16. I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all
web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
Here is my web-site ... international finance
