WOYWW 288 Where was I?

Here I am and sorry to have missed all the fun.  We had a busy three weeks leaving for Galveston On Tuesday Nov 25 with cats in the RV.  and only returning Dec 1.  loading and unloading the RV is quite a task and with the cats included more stuff.  They were overall well behaved and were not upset.  Like most cats road travel is not something they relish but they are with us and  it is better than neighbor coming in to feed or other alternatives.  Miss Kitty likes to lay on the edge of the passenger window and unlocks the door.  She also hit the window button and almost flew out.

When we we parked they were on search and destroy, the latter a function of search. (leap on back of leather seat....enter nails, test curtains for strength of cat body) The trip was fabulous and as we had not visited Galveston since the 2008 hurricane, it was a wonderful surprise.  They have rebuilt and turned it from a run down shabby seaside town with high crime to a lovely place to visit.  We feasted on Thanksgiving Day at the San Louis where the buffet table was quite incredible.  The weather perfect and around 84 in the daytime.
Our beach walk Selfie  (quick note bought orange hat, lost it, found it lost again, gone forever)

So what is on my desk.  since we returned i have worked on updating my  4 journals for December.   This is time consuming since Draw Your Awesome Year (DYAY) was quite detailed. Art Journaling was also time consuming, as coming up with a layout consisted of many failures.  Journal 52 was relatively quick. Over the year I had decided to make quick spreads in this journal as it is weekly. I will also do this in 2013 as it produces so many ideas and is fun.   Keeping up No Excuses Art Journaling (NEAJ) is easy except for the start of the month where it requires following some prompts and ideas from Gina's book.  This months remains unfinished.   Once I get started on a project the ideas flow and often new and better ideas emerge.  If I spent less time distracted by FB and Pinterest I might accomplish a lot more.  My 2015 Journal project is The Documented Life and will try to incorporate it with NEAJ.

Here is my Desk.
upper left is NEAJ, on the right Journal 52, this weeks prompt was doodling;  lower left is one page of  Art journal.  I painted background then collaged it. Two page spread on the left is DYAY.  I have many parts of this complex Journal I want to complete so I am not going to do the 2015  but will complete the various sections.

That's it folks.  I will post this when I canb to Julies page.  i am writing it on Tuesday as we are taking the cats to the vet for nail cutting, Miss kitty is also to get her nose cleaned.  So we expect to spend the evening being ravaged by them and taking a strong drink or two.

  4. You've inspired me with keeping up on the things you start. I'm not so good at that. Loved following your travels this year and looking forward to 2015!
